Living in a city like Las Vegas during the summer months means learning to deal with temperatures that exceed 110 degrees regularly. Which means that it’s time to factor in excessive heat when storing flower and concentrates.

With the recreational market still fairly new to the Nevada scene it is important to remember that we do live in a desert, and that excessive heat can have a harmful effect on product quality.

This applies to flower as well but can have an even larger impact on consumers who utilize concentrates, and more specifically vaping.

If temperatures are 90 degrees outside the inside of your vehicle can easily run up to 120-130 degrees in a matter of minutes. This causes a host of issues for anyone leaving vaporizer cartridges and disposable pens, concentrates, or flower in any vehicle for a prolonged period of time.  The potential for vaporizers leaking, hardware malfunctions, and stale oil increase if you leave your precious cannabis products for any longer than 10 minutes.

We typically keep our bulk oil refrigerated to help preserve the terpenes and maintain quality. However, most dispensaries will keep their concentrates at room temperature, which is perfectly fine, but we believe the best way to maintain your products quality is to keep your concentrates in a cool place as often as possible.

So, if you want to have the highest quality flower or concentrates, remember to treat with care.
